I've alway's found " SunDown " Towns Interesting , the History & Racism ....... What's happened to them ( the Towns ) , are they STILL SunDown ?

My home state of ILLINOIS has had more than a few of them with one having an acronym attached to it supposedly

That's right ...... I'm talking about the infamous SunDown town of ANNA , ILLINOIS

ANNA ( Ain't No Ni**ers Allowed ) is the Acronym that Supposedly gave the Town it's name ( wether it's true or not I just don't know ) ?

Anna is at the other end of the state where I'm from ( Rock Island ) , it sits in deep Southern Illinois .

Went to school in Cape Girardeau…have friends who lived in the boot heel….been all over Southern Illinois where the drinking age was 18 when I was going to school…crossed the river many times while going to school…talking about the early seventies….been to many concerts in Carbondale….
